BARN TOURS™ OFFERS MORE INFORMATION TO FAIR VISITORS
Every year tens of thousands of people wander through the many barns at the Central Washington State Fair, looking at the cows, horses, rabbits, pigs and other livestock shown during the ten day event. This year, those folks will have the opportunity to learn a little bit more about those animals. From trivia tidbits to important information about how each animal species helps our world, guides from Barn Tours™ will provide tours to fairgoers answering all their questions about the livestock at the Fair.
An internationally known company, Barn Tours™ will be set up in a big red tent at Barn A, and will be providing tours of the barns every day of the fair. The tours start about every half hour and are free to fairgoers.
“They are coming to us from the Minnesota State Fair where they were very well received,” said Fair president and general manager Greg Stewart. “We think this is going to be a great addition to this year’s Fair and are looking forward to providing this service to our patrons.”
Each tour lasts about 40 to 50 minutes depending how many questions come from the public. Every animal exhibited at the fair will be highlighted on the tours. According to the Barn Tours™ folks, each tour is different and they can be customized to folks of different ages and knowledge of the animals.
The Central Washington State Fair begins Friday runs through October 4 in Yakima.
