CANDY NATION DISPLAY AT FAIR WILL SATISFY EVERY SWEET TOOTH

Got a sweet tooth?  Well then, the Candy Nation Exhibit at the Central Washington State Fair is the place for you.  Taking over Pioneer Hall during the ten day Fair, the huge candy exhibit will transform the historic building into a candy lovers dream.

With names like See’s, Wrigley’s, Pez, Jelly Belly and more, the Candy Nation exhibit will show how different candies from these famous candy makers are made, along with a special area detailing the history of American Candy.  The exhibit features a number of candy related exhibits including a Big Rock Candy Mountain, candy displays for different holidays, the World’s Largest All Day Sucker and of course, a retail shop where patrons can purchase some of their favorite treats.  There will also be samples given away during the Fair.

One highlight of the exhibit will be “Wrapping with Lucy” a recreation of the famous Lucille Ball television skit where she is working on a speedy conveyor belt trying to wrap candies.  The show, featuring a Lucy look-a-like and audience participation, will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons, September 25, 26 & 27.

This year’s Central Washington State Fair starts next Friday, September 25 and runs through October 4 in Yakima.
