JUNGLE EXPERIENCE TO REPLACE WALKING WITH LIONS AT THE FAIR
Exit the lions…enter the tigers and cougars, the Arctic fox and ringtail lemur and more.
The Walking with Lions show, scheduled for the Central Washington State Fair starting on Friday, September 25, has had to cancel due to mechanical problems with their transportation equipment. But Fair officials quickly filled the void with the Jungle Experience extravaganza, a show and exhibit that includes a large variety of animals, birds and reptiles from around the world.
“We were looking forward to having the lions here,” said Fair president and general manager Greg Stewart. “But we think we have found a great replacement. This show was just in Boise and it was rated as one of the top three attractions at their fair there.”
The Jungle Experience will feature a pair of Bengal tigers, two cougars, a Capuchin Monkey, a Coati Mundi, an Arctic Fox and an extremely rare Asian fishing cat. A number of birds and reptiles are also part of the exhibit that will be placed in a large area of Oak Park at the Fair.
The Jungle Experience includes a large display where the public can watch the different animals. Then, three times each day there will be a performance that features the tigers and several of the other birds and animals.
The Jungle Experience will be part of the Fair all ten days.
