CENTRAL WASHINGTON STATE FAIR CONTESTS OPEN TO   EVERYONE

            If your mother ever told you to “slow down” when eating dinner, the upcoming Central Washington State Fair may have a contest for you.   There are four “eating” contests at this year’s Fair where fast eating is the goal.  The chow ‘em down fast contests include a pizza eating contest, a corn dog eating contest, a funnel cake eating contest and a coney dog eating contest. 

            Those with other talents need to check out the Fair-N-Dipity Idol singing contest or the Guitar Hero contest.

Plus for you speedy texters out there, the Fair will have a texting contest to try to determine the fastest texter at the Fair.

            A scavenger hunt and a cookie stacking contest, are also on the list of contests at this year’s Fair.

            There will be prizes for the winners of each of the contests.  Interested contestants should contact Debb Moser at the Central Washington State Fair at 248-7160 to sign up ahead of the Fair.  Contests are scheduled each day of the fair.  Information on exact times and location of each contest can be found on the Fair website at fairfun.com.

This year’s Central Washington State Fair runs from September 25  through October 4 in Yakima.
