The GUESS WHO To Appear At This Year’s Fair
When you hear the songs “American Woman” and “These Eyes” and “No Sugar Tonight” it is pretty easy to guess who the band is that made them famous. The band is The Guess Who, and they will be performing in Yakima at the Central Washington State Fair on the opening Saturday of the Fair, September 25 at 7:30 p.m.
One of the biggest rock bands of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s The Guess Who has over a dozen top 40 hits to their name and they still draw huge crowds for their concerts around North America.
“We’re excited to have The Guess Who as one of our opening weekend acts,” said Fair president and general manager Greg Stewart. “They’ll bring plenty of fun, energy and great music to our opening weekend.”
Stewart said that they are still working on signing the remaining acts needed to fill out this year’s line-up and more announcements should be coming soon.
While all entertainment at the Fair is free with admission, there are some reserved seats available for The Guess Who. Reserved seat tickets are $15. The reserved seating prices do not include fairgrounds admission. Tickets for The Guess Who show will go on sale on Saturday, April 3 at 10 a.m. at the Fair ticket office and through TicketsWest locations. To reserve seats call 1-800-325-SEAT. For general information call 248-7160.
Keep an eye on the Fair’s website at www.fairfun.com for more information on upcoming announcements. This year’s Fair runs from September 24 through October 3, in Yakima.
