FAIR SIGNS CLAY WALKER FOR MID-WEEK CONCERT

The Central Washington State Fair is still six months away, but Fair officials are working hard to get their entertainment line-up for the annual 10-day event set.  Today, it was announced that country singer Clay Walker, along with the comedy team of Williams and Ree, will be performing at this year’s Fair.

Walker, who has sold over 11 million albums and has 11 number one country hits to his name, will perform at the Fair on Wednesday, September 29th at 7:00 p.m.

Walker first topped the Billboard country singles chart in 1993 with “What’s It to You”.  Some of Walker’s other country hits include “Live Until I Die”, “Rumor Has It”, and “Then What” among others.

Williams and Ree, known as the “Indian and the White Guy” will perform at the Fair on Sunday, September 26th  at 6 p.m.  The duo has been entertaining audiences around the world with their unique and irreverent comedy/musical style for over three decades.

“We are working hard to get our entertainment booked early and to let everyone know who will be performing at the Fair,” said Fair president and general manager Greg Stewart.  “We should have other acts confirmed and be able to announce them soon.”

While all entertainment at the Fair is free with admission, there are some reserved seats available for sale to each show.  Reserved seat tickets for Clay Walker are $20.  Williams and Ree tickets are $10.  The reserved seating prices do not include fairgrounds admission. Tickets for both shows will go on sale on Saturday, March 27 at 10 a.m. at the Fair ticket office and through TicketsWest locations.  To reserve seats call 1-800-325-SEAT.  For general information call 248-7160.

Keep an eye on the Fair’s website at www.fairfun.com for more information on upcoming announcements.  This year’s Fair runs from September 24 through October 3, in Yakima.
