GENERAL INFO

Leap Year Special (2012 info below)

For those of you that jumped on board the Leap Year Special, please note the Photo ID hours for this year's Fair. Photos will be taken in September, just prior to the start of the Fair. You MUST bring your Un-Leap Year Ticket with you at the time photo is to be taken. You will exchange your ticket for one Photo ID. All photos will be taken in the west concourse of the Yakima Valley SunDome, entrance through west doors. These Photo ID badges are valid for the person whose picture is on the badge. These are non-transferable. All photos must be taken during the times outlined below. We recommend having photos taken as early in the week as possible. It gets crazy busy the closer to Fair start-up!

Fair Association is NOT responsible for LOST, STOLEN or MIS-PLACED PHOTO ID VOUCHERS. It's like losing cash. Sorry, we cannot replace.

Yakima Transit will once again offer rides from the Gateway Shopping Center to State Fair Park all ten days of the Fair. There will be a $1 fee (round trip) for those riding the shuttle. Payment will be collected at the time of pick-up at Gateway Center.

Opening Day of the Fair, service will begin 2 hours prior to the opening of the Fair and conclude 30 minutes following the Fair's closing time. (Fair closes at 11 pm. Bus service concludes at 11:30 pm on opening day.)

All other days, service will begin 30 minutes prior to the Fair opening hours each day. Service will continue throughout the day until 30 minutes after closing. Hop on and hop off from two locations at Gateway (near Office Max and near Target).

All of you that plan to park and ride on the shuttle are encouraged to park in the Gateway Center nearest to Fair Avenue so that our Gateway stores can continue to accommodate their own customers. Yakima Transit will have the parking areas identified with barricades/signs. Please follow parking directions and park in the identified parking areas only.

State Fair Park doesn't have room for all of our faithful fairgoers to park, so we rely on Yakima Transit to get some of you here! Thank you, Yakima Transit, for a great job in transporting our special fair guests!
