Guest Relations
Our main goal at the Central Washington State Fair is to provide a safe, family and fun environment. Questions that we are asked frequently are answered below.
Safety
To insure the safety and enjoyment of all Fair patrons, participants, volunteers, contractors and employees, the Central Washington State Fair may require inspection of all carry-in items: purses, backpacks, briefcases, suitcases, athletic bags, duffel bags, coolers, ice chests, picnic baskets, diaper bags, strollers, packages, containers and other similar products capable of concealing prohibited items. Please leave all unnecessary items at home or in your car.
Security
Crowd Management Services (CMS/Starplex) and the Yakima Police Department have a strong presence at State Fair Park 24/7 during the 10 days of Fair. We strive for a safe environment for everyone.
Both agencies maintain offices on the grounds. All emergency concerns should be directed to CMS, Yakima Police Department or Fair personnel.
Fair Association does not permit gang-related dress, i.e. “colors, du rags, etc.”
